Anung Herlianto

Deputy Commissioner and Head of OJK Institute

Anung Herlianto EC currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner, Head of OJK Institute. Previously, Dr. Anung held the position of Deputy Commissioner for Private Bank Supervision (2023-24) and had also served as Executive Director, Head of the Banking Regulation and Development Department (2019-2023) at the Financial Services Authority (OJK).


Before joining OJK, Dr. Anung worked at Bank Indonesia for over 20 years, holding various positions in Banking Regulation and Supervision, Monetary Policy, Payment Systems, and as a Staff Member of the Board of Governors of Bank Indonesia. Dr. Anung was also assigned as a staff and advisor to the Minister of Trade (2008-09). In 2010, he was seconded and worked as a Senior Bank Supervisor at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) in Sydney, Australia.


He obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (1991). He earned his MBA from Bristol University, United Kingdom (1999), specializing in International Trade & Finance, and from ENPC School of International Management, Paris, with a concentration in Financial Analysis & Reporting. He attended the Leadership Program at the Kennedy School of Public Administration, Harvard University, USA (2016), and the Leadership Program at the London School of Economics (LSE-UK, 2024). He later obtained a Doctorate from Trisakti University, Jakarta (2019), specializing in Public Policy.


To this day, Anung remains active as a guest lecturer in postgraduate programs at several public and private universities in Indonesia and as a speaker at various seminars both domestically and internationally. He was also a member of the Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards Board (DSAK-IAI) for the 2016-2020 period.
