In an era of rapid economic transformation, financial cooperation plays a crucial role in fostering stability, innovation, and sustainable growth. The ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Forum serve as a platform for financial leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore collaborative strategies that strengthen financial systems and enhance
regional economic resilience.

Recognizing the increasing interconnectivity of regional financial markets, the Council on International Financial Cooperation (CIFC), the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) and ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Centre are co-hosting this forum to facilitate dialogue on pressing financial issues. Under the theme "Innovation and Cooperation: Strengthening Financial Systems in a Changing World" the forum will address key topics such as financial adaptation to economic and social changes, the future of capital markets in the region, and cooperation for financial inclusion and digital transformation. These discussions will be structured across three panel sessions.

As economies continue to evolve in response to technological advancements, demographic shifts, and global uncertainties, financial systems must adapt to support sustainable and inclusive growth. The first session will examine the role of finance as a catalyst for economic transformation, focusing on financial stability, economic resilience, and the role of financial institutions in addressing demographic challenges and socio-economic disparities.

The second session will explore the evolving landscape of ASEAN+3 capital markets, highlighting key trends such as financial market systems and cross-border investment flows. Participants will discuss opportunities to enhance market liquidity, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and leverage innovative financial instruments to drive sustainable capital market development.

The final session will focus on fostering financial inclusion and digitalization in ASEAN. Discussions will highlight Korea and Singapore’s experiences with credit recovery services and explore the role of digital finance in shaping the future of regional financial ecosystems. This session will also address the challenges and opportunities presented by fintech and
emerging financial technologies.

By bringing together thought leaders and decision-makers from across the ASEAN region, the ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Forum aims to foster meaningful discussions and actionable strategies to build a more resilient, innovative, and inclusive financial ecosystem.
